This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information at primaryhymns.com (the “Site”), operated by FamilyTreePrints, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), registered in Delaware. The Site is hosted on Vercel and built with Next.js and React.

1. Information We Collect

  • Analytics Data: PostHog collects anonymized usage data (e.g., page views, clicks), not identifying you personally: posthog.com/privacy.
  • Email Addresses: Kit.com collects your email if you subscribe to our newsletter.
  • No User Accounts: No logins or additional personal data collected.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Analytics: To improve Site functionality and content.
  • Newsletter: To send updates via Kit.com if you opt in (unsubscribe via email link).
  • We don't sell, rent, or share your data except as noted below.

3. Third-Party Services

  • PostHog: Analytics processing per their policy.
  • Kit.com: Email management per kit.com/privacy.
  • Vercel: Hosting, may process minimal data (e.g., IP): vercel.com/privacy.

4. YouTube API Services

Our hymn videos are hosted on YouTube. Our internal publishing tool uses YouTube API Services to upload our own videos to our own YouTube channel, set their thumbnails, and check their status. The Site links to these videos on YouTube; watching them there is subject to the Google Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

  • What we access: only our own channel, through a Google sign-in that our staff authorizes. We do not access, collect, store, or share YouTube data about Site visitors or any other YouTube user.
  • What we store: the sign-in token, kept only on our own computer and never shared, and the IDs of our own videos, which we publish on the Site.
  • Revoking access: any account that authorized our tool can revoke it at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
  • Deletion: ask for any stored data to be deleted at support@primaryhymns.com. We delete it within 7 days.

5. The Primary Hymns iPhone App

The Primary Hymns iPhone app collects no data. It has no accounts and no analytics, and it makes no network requests: every hymn and picture ships inside the app. The only things it saves are your Melody/Full music choice and whether you have seen the tap hint, and those stay on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them.

6. Cookies and Tracking

PostHog may use cookies for analytics. Manage them in your browser settings.

7. Data Security

We take steps to secure your data, but no system is fully secure. We're not liable for breaches beyond our control.

8. Your Rights

Request access to or deletion of your email at support@primaryhymns.com.

EU or California users may have additional rights (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Contact us.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site isn't for kids under 13. We don't knowingly collect their data.
